    EXPERIENCE: Alexandra was admitted to the Bar in 2001, and immediately joined the New Jersey Division of Law as a Deputy Attorney General assigned to the Professional Boards Prosecution Section where she primarily represented the State in matters against physicians, nurses and other licensed professionals facing discipline by their respective licensing board. During her time with the Division of Law, Alexandra was also appointed as Legal Counsel to the Nursing Advisory Council to Address the Nursing Shortage in New Jersey created by the Governor in order to address one of the most critical issues facing healthcare institutions today. Her work for the State allowed Alexandra to utilize her background as a registered nurse while acquiring expertise in the area of investigation and discipline of healthcare providers by local, state and federal government agencies. Prior to her admission to the Bar, Alexandra was a Law Clerk in the Health and Hospital Law Department of Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross, P.C. (formerly, Sills Cummis Radin Tischman Epstein & Gross) in Newark, New Jersey, where she gained experience reviewing and drafting documents for corporate transactions involving medical practices, hospitals and nursing homes.

    Now, Alexandra is pleased to join her colleagues and fellow alumnae, Sandy Morales and Laura Mendonca, in forming the Law Firm of Morales, Mendonca & Pagan, LLC, where she can apply her unique background and intricate knowledge of the climate of healthcare today in order to assist providers and entities in practicing and providing healthcare services in a safe, effective and rewarding manner.

    AREAS OF PRACTICE: The focus of Alexandra's practice is to provide legal services to health care professionals and entities including the following: (1) assist in obtaining or reinstating state board licensure; (2) represent licensees being investigated or facing disciplinary action by their respective boards; (3) assist healthcare professionals recovering from impairment/substance abuse in maintaining or regaining their ability to practice in his/her respective profession; (4) represent hospitals and individual physicians in medical staff actions; (5) assist providers facing an audit from private and/or public insurance entities such as Medicare/Medicaid; and (6) assist professionals and entities in complying with the vast and complex regulatory environment facing healthcare providers today. In addition, Alexandra is an effective litigator who handles administrative hearings, court appearances and hearings in family matters, as well as general corporate matters for the Firm. Alexandra is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
